Battery Storage Course – CEC Endorsement

Theoretic training is run over three days with a Zoom class. Participants must then attend one of our Centres to complete the practical work.

We have been delivering training in the new requirements of ASNZ 5139 for months as this will influence Installers works in this area.

For Electricians with Clean Energy Council Solar Grid Connect Accreditation. This course covers the design and installation of Grid Connected Systems with Battery Storage and enables Endorsement with the Clean Energy Council.


This course is designed for electrical tradespeople with an unrestricted license and Solar Grid Connect training. The units covered in this course meet the requirements for an endorsement for Grid Connect with Battery Storage with the Clean Energy Council.

The training will be delivered through a combination of technical/theoretical teaching, and workshop practical instruction where possible. The course covers the essential knowledge and skills required to meet industry requirements. The training is carried out over four days.


Upon successful completion, you will be issued with a Statement listing the competencies covered in the course.

This is a technical course and electrical knowledge is assumed. The course is designed for people already employed in the electrical field who have completed the Grid Connect Skills Set.


1. Unrestricted Electrical License
2. Previous attendance and completion of a Grid Connect Design and Install course


Duration:  Training and assessment is delivered over 4 days. Most courses will run over weekends for 8 hours per day.

Class Size: The maximum number of participants in any one course is limited to 12 for WH&S and quality of training purposes.

Training facilities: Courses will be delivered in our Training Centres and at appropriate regional locations. The training room and workshop will cater to a maximum of 12 participants per course.

Training Resources/Materials: Skillbuild provides all materials/resources for the training at no additional cost. You may bring your own tools if you prefer, however this is not necessary.

The course fee is $2180 (includes 1 day practical)
