This course meets the qualification requirements for a Qualified Technical Person on a Queensland Electrical Contractors licence. The course involves testing and verification, compliance with relevant Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice. There is a practical component that involves testing of several electrical installations and fault finding.

Participants must have an unrestricted electrical license in any State or Territory. The Electrical Safety Office require applicants to have had their electrical license for two years before applying for the QTP component. We do not enforce this but suggest participants wait at least 18 months after getting their license to do our course. Participants must have access to ASNZ 3000:2018 to participate.
The course involves completion of a four hour pre-course assignment and then two days in class at our Northgate Centre in Brisbane – 16 Crockford St.
The assignment is emailed on enrolment and all other assessment is done in the two days of class. We do not send people away to complete work after the class.
