Participants would complete the following:
• Part one – complete 6 hours of online theory work using Moodle. This focuses on testing and verification and the relevant Standards
• Part two – attend a one day Zoom class – we can see everyone and talk to each other
• Part three – Complete an inspection on a domestic installation and do an assignment
• Part four – Complete an inspection on a commercial installation and do an assignment
• Assessment – this is done before and during the course; we do not send participants away with work to complete after completion of part four.
Total commitment is approximately 30 hours. We provide a Workbook which include the two assignments.
Upon successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing the Units of Competency covered in the course.
• Applying relevant work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, including using risk control measures
• obtaining required information and documentation in preparation for the inspection
• preparing grid connected system inspection checklists based on industry standards and regulatory requirements
• conducting detailed inspections and testing of grid connected systems
• verifying grid connected system compliance, and identifying non-compliance, with industry/regulatory standards
• acting within the inspection authority when dealing with non-compliance
• documenting and reporting inspection finding
• inspections and safety compliance audits of grid connected renewable energy systems, including:
• inspection types and their scope
• scope of inspection responsibilities
• inspection methods and procedures
• inspection documentation
• grid connected renewable energy systems including:
• installation of photovoltaic systems to power conversion equipment
• installation of battery storage equipment power conversion equipment to grid
• installation of battery storage to power conversion equipment
• installation of photovoltaic power conversion equipment to grid
Fees for this course are $2480 paid in two instalments.

PRE-REQUISITES FOR PARTICIPATION
1. RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights. Participants must complete this with another RTO and provide evidence of this unit or an equivalent.
