Scholarship Programme

Skillbuild are pleased to award our second Scholarship to Hanumanth Koka. In 2018 our first Scholarship supported Alex David from the Solomon Islands to come to Australia to study. Alex is now running a successful business in Honiara doing off grid and solar pumping work.

Hanumanth completed his Master’s Degree in Engineering at Charles Darwin University in 2021. His Thesis looked at properties to do with perovskite solar cells. Skillbuild will be providing training in Grid Connected and Battery Storage Design so that Hanumanth can apply for CEC Accreditation.

He is also going to be on the roof at our Darwin Centre in April helping with our solar install, after completing his ‘White Card’ and Working at Heights courses. Even Engineers need to do installs to understand the practical aspect of this work.

Skillbuild are funding all of this training to assist Hanumanth in his passion for the renewable energy field. Previously Hanumanth worked in solar design in India but he has experience in the IT field as well.

Skillbuild has a strong connection to the NT, as it is where we originally set up our RTO.
